We're currently supporting a major organisation within the Swiss banking sector that is looking for an experienced CI/CD Pipeline Engineer to join its IT Engineering function on a 6-month contract.
The team is investing heavily in automation, Dev Ops and modern software delivery, with a strong focus on improving how applications move from development through to production.
You'll play a key role in designing, maintaining and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to make software delivery faster, more reliable and more efficient.

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week on-site

The team is investing heavily in automation, Dev Ops and modern software delivery, with a strong focus on improving how applications move from development through to production.
You'll play a key role in designing, maintaining and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to make software delivery faster, more reliable and more efficient.
What you'll be doing- Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, testing and production environments
- Automate build, test and deployment processes
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to improve software delivery workflows
- Configure and optimise CI/CD tooling including Jenkins and Git Lab CI/CD
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and efficiency
- Work with containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Power Shell or Python
- Support performance testing and continuous improvement of release processes
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to Agile delivery practices
We're looking for someone with a strong hands‑on background in CI/CD, Dev Ops or Build & Release Engineering, who enjoys improving the way software is delivered.
You’ll ideally have:
- Several years' experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Strong hands‑on experience with Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD or comparable tooling
- Good scripting skills in Bash, Power Shell and/or Python
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- A good understanding of modern Dev Ops and software delivery practices
- Experience troubleshooting and optimising complex build and deployment pipelines
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- German and English language skills
This is a 6-month contract within a large-scale Swiss banking environment, where you'll have the opportunity to do more than simply maintain existing pipelines.
You’ll be involved in improving automation, streamlining release processes and helping shape how software is delivered at scale.
The role is based in Bern, with 2-3 days per week expected on‑site and the remainder working remotely.
