Early Years Teaching Assistant for a Rural School - 15 mile radius of Berwick-upon-Tweed Daily Pay Range: £80-£100
Job description
Connect Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school located in a rural area of Northumberland, within a 15‑mile radius of Berwick-upon‑Twed. This is a full‑time role in a mainstream primary setting.
About the RoleIn this full‑time position, you will provide individualized support to pupils in Early Years, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance needed to thrive. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support throughout the school day, helping the pupils to fully engage in lessons and school activities.
Key Responsibilities- Offer one‑to‑one support to a pupil during lessons and daily activities.
- Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering interactive and engaging lessons.
- Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide classroom and learning support to encourage growth and independence.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to ensure progress and well‑being are prioritised.
- Qualified to work in a childcare setting.
- Full UK driving licence or means to commute to a rural location.
- A caring, supportive individual with a passion for helping young learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers, parents and pupils.
- Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
- Ideally, live within a reasonable commuting distance of the school (approximately 15 miles from Berwick‑upon‑Twed).
