Environment Agency is seeking an experienced Water Resources Manager to lead a department within Operations Catchment Services. The role will deliver national water resource services and support the organisation’s strategic objectives.

• Provide expert input to the National Framework for Water Resources.
• Lead drought planning and drought management initiatives.
• Develop talent and skills in water planning across a team of technical experts.
• Oversee national modelling for water resources and groundwater.
• Shape and scrutinise Water Companies’ statutory Water Resource Management Plans.
• Manage programmes to deliver sustainable abstraction.
• Champion health, safety, wellbeing, inclusion and people development.
• Deliver operational services efficiently and effectively.
• Act as a member of the Operations Catchment Services Leadership Team.

• Authentic leadership style with a strong team focus.
• Experience developing individuals, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Excellent stakeholder management, customer focus and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinker able to simplify complex integration.
• Working knowledge of water resources management and awareness of environmental, political, and economic pressures affecting the sector.
• Experience leading technical and delivery teams.
