Role Overview

Our Tesco colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired.

Availability windows determine when you can work. We schedule contracted hours within these times and provide three‑week notice of your shifts.

• Know customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
• Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
• Apply training so that all work is done safely and effectively, serving customers brilliantly.
• Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
• Be aware of store performance, understand your role in driving service, sales, waste and shrink control, and profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
• Live the Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow policies.
• Accept deliveries into the store as required.

• Be over 18 years old.
