Relief Security Officer – DWP (Job Centres)
Location:
Newcastle upon Tyne, Alnwick, Ashington, Bedlington, Berwick-upon-Tweed & Morpeth
Pay: £12.71 per hour – Day shifts only – Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle essential.
About the RoleProvide support across DWP sites, cover planned and short-notice absences, maintain professionalism and service.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and secure environment across DWP sites.
- Conduct patrols and routine security checks.
- Respond professionally to incidents and emergencies.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity or potential risks.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
- Support staff and visitors with a professional and approachable manner.
- Follow all Assignment Instructions and site procedures.
- Report Health & Safety concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Previous security experience.
- Valid SIA Licence.
- SC Clearance desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to own vehicle essential.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional, reliable and approachable attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexible approach to travelling between sites.
