Maintenance Manager

Lead maintenance efforts at Berwick in Victoria, BC, where compassion and community merge. This full-time role, from Tuesday to Saturday, focuses on safe operations and high-quality living environments.

As the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all repair and maintenance functions at our retirement community. Your work is essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of residents while supporting our community’s goals. You’ll manage staff and contractors, driving a culture of professionalism and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all maintenance operations for the community

• Coordinate and direct contract work as required

• Ensure safety and cleanliness across various areas

• Supervise maintenance staff and manage budgets

• Address emergencies like power outages and plumbing issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance

• Supervisory experience managing budgets or contractors

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC standards

• Valid BC driver’s license and WHMIS certification

• Strong judgment and interpersonal skills
