Experience daily veterinary practice at Berwick Animal Hospital with an externship from NVA. Improve your clinical skills while working alongside knowledgeable veterinarians in a supportive setting.

This externship is geared towards veterinary students in their clinical training. You will be involved in gathering patient histories, conducting physical exams, and assisting in treatment plans and surgery. Communication with clients and staff will also enhance your professional skill set in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather patient histories and perform comprehensive physical exams

• Participate in assessing and creating treatment plans

• Assist and observe during surgical operations

• Provide dental services as part of patient care

• Develop communication skills with medical staff and clients

Requirements:

• Veterinary student in clinical training is required

• Must be eager to learn and engage in practice

• Strong interpersonal skills for team and client interactions

• Commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine

• Eligible for a stipend for travel/living expenses
