We are looking for a detailed and safety‑oriented CNC Machine Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture and recondition railroad rail. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy steel materials, interpreting technical drawings, and producing high‑quality parts that meet industry standards.
Responsibilities & Duties Expected responsibilities include:- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling and turning machines to cut, shape, and finish railroad rail and crane rail components.
- Load and secure work pieces, tools, and fixtures in preparation for machining.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CNC programs, and work instructions to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Monitor machine operations, perform in‑process inspections, and adjust as necessary to maintain tolerances.
- Conduct measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in safe working condition.
- Record production data, work performed, and inspection results.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices for machining heavy steel components.

- Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator, preferably with heavy steel or rail products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CNC programs, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining practices.
- Experience with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify accuracy.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to handle rail materials, work in multiple positions, and tolerate industrial shop conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork.
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred but not required.
- Monday – Friday, dayshift hours.
Pay: $20 per hour
