As a Security Guard – Media Patrol Full-Time in Bessemer, AL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech‑focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remain highly visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment, communicate with professionalism, and support a culture built on agility, reliability, and teamwork.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, supporting a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe activities within the premises to help deter potential risks and maintain order.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents or irregularities to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal and/or site management.
• Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to address security‑related concerns and support a positive experience for all individuals on site.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
