Security Technician Job Bessemer area,Alabama USA,Trades / Skilled Labor

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Assist teams or a crew in the installation and implementation and/or perform services for new equipment installation, equipment, or system repairs. This position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting newly installed electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and closed-circuit television equipment and devices.

Responsibilities:

Perform service and installation of various security management solutions, including access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and other security-related systems. Must be able to install, configure, and test equipment and devices until the final product is complete.

Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and test equipment and devices; perform repairs as necessary.

Perform upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and usability.

Perform computer programming entries to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems as needed.

Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.

Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.

Terminate equipment and field devices, ensuring operation from the field to the reporting systems.

Lead team members and delegate tasks as needed; demonstrate proper techniques.

Be willing to perform any required tasks to complete daily objectives.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
Good communication skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
Experience with IP-based systems.
Working knowledge of Software House, Open Options, and Lenel is a plus.
