Responsibilities
  • Cross‑Functional ISC Engineering Leadership
    Lead ISC engineering activities across PDLM, NPI, MLD, LCM, and sustaining projects. Partner closely with Advanced Development to align business strategy, product portfolio, and sourcing strategies, fostering synergy across the organization. Partner with R&D to embed supply chain readiness and manufacturability early in product and lifecycle decisions. Serve as the key ISC engineering interface between development and operations to enable smooth industrialization and lifecycle execution.
  • End‑to‑End Decision Making
    Bring together end‑to‑end ISC stakeholders, including Procurement Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, to drive timely and fact‑based decisions for projects. Ensure alignment across functions on technical, operational, supplier, and network‑related trade‑offs. Facilitate issue resolution and decision governance to support project milestones and business continuity.
  • Product Lifecycle and Sustaining Support
    Provide leadership for ISC engineering deliverables across new product introduction, lifecycle changes, sustaining engineering, and product discontinuation/transition activities. Ensure ISC considerations are integrated into design changes, supply continuity plans, and cost/productivity initiatives. Support robust change implementation across the installed base and manufacturing network. Drive data hygiene and data quality improvements in PDLM and LCM‑related systems and processes.
  • Change Management and Engineering Governance
    Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering on OCCB/ECCB changes to ensure effective assessment, coordination, and implementation of engineering changes. Drive cross‑functional impact assessments for design and process changes, with clear ownership and execution tracking. Ensure engineering changes are translated into supply chain, supplier, and manufacturing actions without disruption to quality, cost, or delivery.
  • Supply Chain Engineering and Network Setup
    Serve as a thought leader on the Innovation Portfolio, influencing innovation strategy and decisions, and fostering strong partnerships with Innovation and Engineering, Product Marketing, and ISC stakeholders. Assess and formulate a long‑term vision and strategy to maximize business value, aligning with current and future customer needs, and inspire cross‑organizational innovation. Define and enable supply chain network strategies that improve resilience, flexibility, and agility.

    Build active resilience into the network by identifying risks early, strengthening alternative sourcing/manufacturing scenarios, and enabling continuity through robust engineering and supply chain design. Support capacity, footprint, and industrialization decisions that align with business growth and operational strategy.
  • Stakeholder Management
    R&D/Product Development, Procurement Engineering, Supplier Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations/ISC Leadership, Quality and Regulatory teams, Program/Project Management.
  • Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Operations, or Research & Development in a low‑volume, high‑tech medical device environment.
    • Extensive knowledge of IGTS product architecture and roadmap.
    • Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain engineering, industrial engineering, or product industrialization.
    • Strong understanding of PDLM, NPI, LCM, sustaining, and engineering change processes.
    • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
    • Experience working closely with R&D and operations in a matrix organization.
    • Strong knowledge of IGTS supply chain network setup, resilience, and agility principles.
    • Experience in driving data quality, process discipline, and engineering governance.
    • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and change leadership skills.
