Program Manager – MR Co‑Creation
As a Program Manager within the MR Co‑Creation team (part of the larger Clinical Science and Co‑Creation organization within the MR R&D organization), you will lead end‑to‑end co‑creation programs with clinical and research partners, translating unmet clinical, system, and workflow needs into validated innovation concepts and actionable R&D inputs. This role combines deep collaboration with partners and strong program management discipline, ensuring that co‑creation initiatives are planned, executed, and delivered in alignment with organizational objectives.
You will operate at the intersection of R&D and business, ensuring programs deliver measurable outcomes within defined scope, timelines, and resources, while contributing directly to product innovation and customer impact. The role also includes interim functional leadership of the MR R&D Co‑Creation Team (approximately 10 permanent and 12 flexible FTEs) through Q1 2027.
- End‑to‑End Co‑Creation Program Ownership – Own the planning, execution, and delivery of MR co‑creation programs, defining objectives, success metrics, scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Partnership Engagement & Co‑Creation Leadership – Drive structured collaboration with partners, hospitals, key opinion leaders, and research collaborators, and build long‑term engagements.
- Translation of Clinical, System, and Customer Insights into Innovation – Convert observations into prioritized problem statements, innovation hypotheses, and actionable R&D inputs, and drive development of proofs of concept and prototypes.
- Program Planning, Performance Monitoring & KPIs – Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and monitor performance against defined KPIs.
- Stakeholder Management & Cross‑Functional Integration – Serve as the primary interface between Co‑Creation and internal stakeholders (R&D, Product Management, Regulatory, Quality) and external partners, ensuring alignment and integration of outputs into product roadmaps.
- Governance, Risk & Dependency Management – Establish governance frameworks, decision‑making forums, reporting cadence, and manage risks and dependencies.
- Benefit Realization & Outcome Delivery – Ensure co‑creation initiatives deliver measurable outcomes, manage scope and quality, and provide regular updates on performance and impact to senior stakeholders.
- Interim Functional Leadership – Coordinate long‑term vision and strategy, develop departmental capabilities, foster an innovative work environment, and manage talent across the team.
Initiation and delivery of co‑creation programs within defined scope, timelines, and resource constraints; effective translation of insights into R&D work streams and innovation concepts; adoption of co‑creation outputs within product development; strength and continuity of research partnerships; and established governance, stakeholder alignment, and communication cadence.
Qualifications- Master's or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Radiology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in MR clinical research, R&D, product development, or program/project management within healthcare or Med Tech environments.
- Strong knowledge of MR imaging technologies, clinical study methodologies, GCP, and regulatory frameworks (FDA and CE).
- Proven experience managing cross‑functional stakeholders and external clinical collaborations in complex matrix organizations.
- Leadership, stakeholder engagement, influencing, communication, analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Lean Six Sigma, PMP certification, or published MR research is considered a plus.
