Dental Case Manager

Dental Case Manager – Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation, Bethel, Alaska

Assist patients to obtain the most complete care available from the Dental Department. Provide tracking and follow‑up for patients with current treatment plans, patients in special‑needs oral care programs, and patients identified individually by dental providers as requiring additional post‑treatment follow‑up. Assist dental providers with patient education programs, department training curricula, and referrals to advanced care and partner programs. Overall management of Dental Weekly, Monthly and Annual schedules under the direction of Dental Office Manager and/or Dental Director.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  2 years experience in the dental field.
• Experience working with confidential, detailed processes, excellent organizational and customer service skills in a health care related field.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Computer proficiency with various software and database systems (QSI, RPMS, calculator, multi‑line phone, fax/copy machine, MS Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of dental terminology.
• Able to clearly explain financial options to patients.
• Knowledge of effective child and adult education paradigms.
• Spreadsheet and database user level skills.
• Good verbal and written documenting, reporting, and daily communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented tracking abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills, in person and on the telephone.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
