Hotel Café Supervisor – Qavartarvik Customer Lodge (Bethel, AK)

Pay: $25 per hour;

Supervise employees and oversee food preparation in the Café and Restaurant.

• Inspect serving and dining areas, utensils, and equipment for cleanliness.
• Provide the highest quality service to guests.
• Train and coordinate staff under the supervision of the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintain HAACP records.
• Manage and maintain high stock levels of merchandise.
• Monitor employee files and uniform standards.
• Handle guest complaints and problems.
• Post and update retail signage and menu boards.
• Maintain a current POS roster and ensure accurate pricing.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager with reports and product movement tracking.
• Perform a variety of restaurant duties: serving, cleaning, cashiering, dishwashing, etc.
• Prepare food, cook, assemble catering trays, and make grab‑n‑go items as needed.
• Serve food service lines during high‑traffic periods.
• Complete food orders and related tasks.
• Support an effective safety program.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and sound business practices.
• Continuously improve service quality.
• Complete inspection checklists.
• Ensure supplies and materials are available when needed.
• Maintain high sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of supervisory experience with five or more people.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Serv Safe certification within 60 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for the past three years.

• National culinary certificates preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety policies (including HACCP).
• Competitive cafe/restaurant supervisor experience.
