The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting for a Juvenile Justice Counselor 1/2 position in Bethel at the Bethel Youth Facility Treatment Unit.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Juvenile Justice Counselor, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Alaskan youth. You will influence, inspire, and transform the lives of juvenile offenders and their families through therapeutic programs that incorporate a restorative justice approach, drive the youth’s accountability and development, and deliver skills and knowledge in life skills, anger management, drug and alcohol education, and more.

Working Environment You Can ExpectThis position is located at the Bethel Youth Facility, 950 State Highway in Bethel, Alaska. As a member of a unit security team on a 24‑hour unit you will work shift work, holidays, weekends, and occasional overtime.

Flexibly StaffedThis position may be filled at either level 1 or 2, depending on training and experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level.
