The Panther Group is hiring Medical Device Manufacturing Operators I for our client located in the Bethel, CT, area. The person hired for this position will perform hands‑on manufacturing operations involving small medical device components, specialized equipment, precision measurement tools, and microscope work. This is a detail‑oriented manufacturing role requiring the ability to follow precise work instructions and quality standards.
Positions & Shifts- 3 positions – 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 1 position – 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Training will be provided on 1st shift. Candidates must be available to complete 1st shift training before transitioning to their assigned shift.
What You’ll Do- Form small medical device components using manual processes and specialized manufacturing equipment.
- Apply approximately 10 lbs. of force when forming parts.
- Set up and adjust equipment according to established specifications and work instructions.
- Perform detailed work involving small components and use a microscope as required.
- Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
- Read and complete router steps, identification labels, and manufacturing documentation accurately.
- Follow detailed work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and quality requirements.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all applicable safety and quality procedures.
- Support department quality and workmanship standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience using a microscope.
- Experience using micrometers, gauges, calipers, or similar precision measuring tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions and accurately complete documentation.
- Comfortable performing hands‑on work requiring approximately 10 lbs. of force.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Experience with small-component manufacturing or assembly.
- Experience with optical measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Must be available for an onsite interview and facility tour.
Up to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience.
