Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a construction-focused organization to identify a Project Accountant. This role works closely with project and accounting teams to track project finances, maintain accurate records, and support timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project financials, including cost tracking and billing activities
• Ensure project-related documents and requisitions are complete and accurate
• Support budget management and project forecasting efforts
• Assist in reviewing payroll and compliance reports for regulatory adherence
• Provide project teams with clear financial insights and reporting guidance
• Utilize accounting systems and technology to streamline project accounting processes
• Take on special projects or additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in project accounting or a similar financial role
• Familiarity with construction accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, over/under billings, and cash flow
• Experience with construction accounting software preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously
