JOB DESCRIPTION

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring the delivery of quality tax services to firm clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax matters within a public accounting setting. This position offers excellent opportunities for advancement, including partnership opportunities for the right individual.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state income taxes for clients, including individuals, partnerships, businesses, and exempt organizations.
• Collaborate with the audit engagement team and client personnel to resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
• Develop and maintain client relationships by demonstrating expertise in their business and tax needs.
• Conduct comprehensive tax research.
• Prepare internal memoranda, correspondence, guidance, and other documents.
• Manage multiple client projects, including budgeting and meeting production goals.
• Participate in managing tax department workflow and staffing.
• Train and mentor junior staff and review their work products.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting;
  Master’s Degree in Taxation or pursuing one preferred.
• CPA Certification.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, preferably servicing non-profit clients.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Forms 990, 5500.
• Proficiency in paperless tax software (preferably Pro System fx Tax) and CCH Engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
