Program Coordinator – National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC)
Join the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) to support the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). The Program Coordinator will provide operational, communications, and knowledge‑management support across NIDHC’s portfolio, ensuring efficient program execution and internal and external communications.
Responsibilities- Support the creation, organization, and maintenance of NIDHC communication materials, including newsletters, briefing packets, presentations, talking points, reports, and web content.
- Draft and develop content for print and online communications, including website updates, articles, and social media, within USU media guidance.
- Coordinate internal communications to ensure timely dissemination of information across teams.
- Maintain shared knowledge assets (e.g., SOPs, templates) and ensure version control and easy retrieval of institutional knowledge.
- Maintain internal communication trackers, including post‑engagement reports and request‑for‑assistance trackers.
- Assist in developing communication products that highlight NIDHC activities, partnerships, and mission impacts.
- Track communication requests and outreach commitments to ensure consistent and high‑quality deliverables.
- Maintain project and team workflows by managing task trackers, calendars, and activity logs; proactively identify potential delays or scheduling conflicts.
- Provide administrative support including drafting meeting agendas, writing formal meeting minutes, preparing summary reports, and supporting presentation development.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and outreach events, including scheduling, invitations, materials preparation, and space or virtual platform setup.
- Serve as a point of contact for routine inquiries and external communications.
- Support hiring and onboarding activities at the direction of supervisors.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Knowledge Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional documents.
- Knowledge of project coordination principles, office automation tools, and information management best practices.
- Demonstrated visual communication skills, including the ability to create polished, visually appealing graphics, presentations, and communication products using tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, or similar software; strong “visual eye” for layout, formatting, and brand consistency.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Comfort coordinating multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with federal organizations or military health systems is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust Clearance.
- Lifting:
Requires lifting materials up to 10 lbs. - Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- The annual salary range for this position is $60,000–$70,000, with the final salary determined by experience, education, and other factors.
