Part-Time Dance Instructor/Choreographer (Ballet Petite)

Location:

Bethesda, MD (we also teach in DC, Bethesda, Potomac, and greater Washington area).

Ballet Petite is an established company that offers a comprehensive ballet program with integrated core arts. We now welcome part‑time instructors to teach 1 or more classes per week and participate in paid training.

• Instruct students in ballet, musical theatre or dance, incorporating classic literature, music, theater, and costume arts into lessons.
• Use the provided curriculum and lesson plans for each level.
• Participate in paid training and potential substitute teaching opportunities.

• Enthusiasm and joy of working with children.
• Background in ballet, musical theatre, or dance.
• Strong character traits: creativity, reliability, energy, love of the arts.
• CPR certified within the first month of employment.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation recommended for Spring Session.

• Spring Session – Saturdays 8:30‑12:00 (ASAP) and substitute opportunities.
• August Summer Camp – Monday‑Friday 8:30‑12:00, with training as soon as hired.
• Part‑time position; salary $35.00/hour (training at $15/hour).
