Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our Bethesda Office is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with design experience in HVAC. You will be providing engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects. You will be working on a collaborative design team, making a huge impact on our team's success!

• Develop the HVAC systems design of given project based on the scope of work and/or client RFPs
• Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
• Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Manual J, and similar programs
• Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
• Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
• Write/edit project specifications
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
• Conduct code compliance research
• Coordinate work with other disciplines
• Provide construction administration services

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

A minimum of 8-12 years of design experience.

PE/EIT & LEED certification/experience is a plus.

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
• Excellent work ethic and attitude
• Good communication and time management skills
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
• Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team

REMOTE with visits to office as needed.

The expected base salary range for this role is $150-165K USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses, a signing bonus, and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package.
