Bridge Inspector

Duties and responsibilities include bridge/transportation facility safety inspection as well as the design of bridge and transportation structures including interhanges, tunnels, and rail facilities. Applicant should be a structural engineer with an EIT, or a PE registration and 5+ years in bridge and transportation structure design and inspection. The position requires a Bachelors degree and NHI safety Inspection of In-Service Bridge certification.

Applicant should be familiar with CADD (Microstation and AutoCAD) and also be willing to learn a variety of software applications through company provided training. Familiarity with MDOT, DDOT and /or VDOT standards and procedures as well as NHI Fracture Critical and Ancillary Structures certification is a plus. Applicant should work well in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge and transportation structure design and inspection
• NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges certification required
• Proficiency in CADD (Micro Station and AutoCAD)
• Willingness to learn additional software through company training
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Familiarity with MDOT, DDOT, and/or VDOT design standards and procedures
• NHI certifications in Fracture Critical and Ancillary Structures
