The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

• Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements.
• Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.
• Write/edit project specifications.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years design experience.
• LEED certification/experience is a plus.
• Experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education, and commercial buildings.
• Educational projects design is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical calculations including lighting photometric calculations, voltage drop and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000 – $135,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
