Data Scientist

The Opportunity

Data Scientist role at CACI at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division. Expand maintenance detection algorithms for Boeing F/A-18 aircraft. Enhance Navy’s fleet readiness by developing case studies and anomaly detection algorithms for aircraft maintenance actions.

• Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from aircraft sensors, maintenance logs, and operational data.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in aircraft performance and maintenance data.
• Design and implement anomaly detection algorithms to identify unusual behaviors in aircraft data.
• Collaborate with Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Maintenance Personnel, and other project stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 0-2 years of job experience.
• Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Python.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Pay Range: $66,700 - $133,300.
