Our Bethesda Office is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with design experience in HVAC. You will be providing engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.
Job SummaryThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems across a variety of market sectors such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects. You will work on a collaborative design team and make a significant impact on our team's success.
In This Role, You Will- Develop the HVAC systems design of a project based on scope of work and client RFPs.
- Perform load and energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Manual J, and similar programs.
- Conduct existing building surveys and document current HVAC systems.
- Develop system design calculations and select equipment for use in buildings.
- Write and edit project specifications, prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies.
- Research code compliance and coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Provide construction administration services.
- Have 8–12 years of design experience.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Have PE/EIT and LEED certification/experience (a plus).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
- Excellent work ethic, attitude, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Interpersonal communication and organizational skills to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively.

Salary and BenefitsThe expected base salary range is $150–165 k USD per year, with performance‑based bonuses, a signing bonus, and a comprehensive U.S.‑based benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, company holidays, wellness programs, employee assistance resources, and professional development support.
