Our client is a privately held organization that manages the financial affairs of high-net-worth individuals and related entities. They are seeking a skilled Lead Accountant to join their in-office team and support day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities.
Job DescriptionThe Lead Accountant will oversee financial reporting, bookkeeping, and income tax preparation for a group of family-owned entities. This individual will play an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with tax compliance, and supporting the management team with financial insights.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain financial records for multiple entities, including trusts and investments.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Track investment performance and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with internal leadership and external advisors on compliance matters.
- Assist in preparing individual and trust tax filings.
- Provide regular financial reporting and assist with audit preparation.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial transactions and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3–6 years of accounting experience within a family office, corporate, or private company environment.
- Strong understanding of income tax compliance for individuals, trusts, and estates.
- Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage Intacct, Quick Books, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Work Schedule:
Full-time, onsite (Monday–Friday). - Interview Process:
