Clinical Research Assistant II- MED (Part-Time)
HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant II to perform data collection by conducting research interviews. Recruits and screens subjects for research studies. Collects baseline and follow up data from subjects.
This position will predominantly support a new study involving the diagnosis of PTSD, comparing the performance of the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5) with an artificial intelligence (AI) avatar, both for the initial diagnosis and post‑intervention assessment. It will also support recruitment, enrollment, and coordination of participants in current active clinical trials of PTSD therapy.
Responsibilities- Active recruitment and screening of subjects for research studies at multiple sites, including interacting with clinicians and attending scientific meetings.
- Collect baseline and follow‑up data, ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain database files and progress reports; may perform data analysis and interpretation.
- Perform scientific literature searches and assist in protocol development and data collection instruments.
- Assist with manuscript preparation, editing, and formatting; distribute manuscripts to scientific collaborators.
- May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a social science (e.g., Sociology, Psychology) or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in research participant recruitment, screening, and administration of questionnaires.
- Trained in the Clinician‑Administered PTSD Scale for DSM‑5, with at least one year of experience administering.
- Ability to understand scientific/medical terminology and communicate effectively.
- Statistical interpretation and data analysis skills using software or spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust Clearance.
- Requires lifting materials up to 25 lbs.
- Primarily an office setting.
- Hourly pay range $20.99 – $24.03, based on experience and education.
