Position Summary

Performs a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures, with minimal supervision.

Suburban Hospital, Johns Hopkins Intrastaff, Bethesda, MD 20814

• Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm;
  Holiday and every other weekend rotation

$42.00 - $46.00, depending on experience

• Accurately performs routine and special clinical laboratory tests in the Core Laboratory (Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology).
• Performs tests requiring independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• Has the capacity to operate clinical laboratory equipment in the completion of automated and manual procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or in a chemical, physical, or biological science and at least 1 year of full‑time laboratory experience or training in the specialty.
• Certified through ASCP or AMT as an MT, CLS, or MLS.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in transfusion/blood bank.
