Deployment and Monitoring Engineer; Canary

Overview

Deployment and Monitoring Engineer (Canary) s is a remote opportunity.

• Design and execute test strategies for canary deployments and production rollout validation.
• Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Partner with Dev Ops, SRE, and development teams to integrate QA checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Dynatrace telemetry and monitoring tools to detect anomalies, regressions, and performance degradation.
• Define and enforce rollback validation criteria to ensure quick recovery from failures.
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and drive continuous improvements in release quality.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices for testing in modern deployment environments.

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in automation and production testing.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment validation in cloud-native environments.
• Experience working with Dynatrace or similar APM tools (New Relic, App Dynamics, Grafana, Splunk).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, with experience in failure detection and rollback validation.

• Experience with canary deployments, blue-green deployments, or feature flag strategies.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Neo Load, Gatling).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
