Our agency client is looking for a Design Engineer to translate our new brand guidelines into an updated Word Press website. This is a six to eight week, remote, assignment.

The Deliverable: A visually and technically refined Word Press site that brings the agency's new brand identity to life blending creativity, insight, and innovation to stand out in a sea of sameness.

The ideal Design Engineer combines strong visual design sensibility with hands‑on web development skills, able to bring creative ideas, refined UX, and technical precision together to deliver a site that reflects their new positioning: "Wildly Original Gets Results."

You MUST HAVE previous Agency or Creative brand experience AND advanced experience designing and developing Word Press sites.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.

• Collaborate with brand and creative team to interpret and apply updated brand guidelines (copy, imagery, typography, and tone) to our existing Word Press site.
• Design refreshed page layouts and visual systems that enhance storytelling, clarity, and engagement.
• Develop and implement updates within the current Word Press environment - no full rebuild required!
• Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and optimal performance across devices and browsers.
• Conduct quality assurance testing and support launch.

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional UI design and development experience;
  Agency or Creative brand experience is REQUIRED.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design best practices.
• Advanced experience designing and developing Word Press sites (theme customization, Gutenberg or page builder experience, plugin integration).
• Working knowledge of JavaScript for interactivity and animations.
• Understanding of UX/UI design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with web performance optimization (speed, SEO, image compression).
• Clean, maintainable code and a collaborative workflow that supports handoff and future updates.
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical skills.
• Experience translating brand systems into cohesive, high‑performing digital experiences.
