Strategic Operations Research Analyst

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Strategic Operations Research Analyst to join a dynamic, high-performing team. The successful candidate will utilize systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to enhance decision-making processes. This role involves collaboration with team members and engineers across disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, the analyst will contribute to requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to shape and influence future warfighter capabilities.

These studies analyze the effects of payloads, weapons, and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.

• Eligibility for a DoD secret clearance.
• Scripting and data processing experience (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.

• Active DoD secret clearance.
• Experience in Operations Research (OR) or with computer-based analytical tools.
• Modeling and simulation experience.
• Software development skills (C++, Git, Gitlab).
• Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, infrared, or communication systems.
• Data analytics, data science, and data visualization expertise.
• Advanced degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution.

This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.
