Job Description

NOTE:

• Candidates need to be strategic thinker and should have experience in multiple technology platforms

• We need a (10yrs +) Data Architect who is good with Data analytics and Data strategies and not a Big Data Architect

• The Data Architect will not be involved in development practices.

Technical Reference Architectures for different types of data

• Operational Data

• Master/Reference Data strategy/platforms

• Analytical Data

• Business Reference Architectures

Responsibilities:

• Works on stablishing metadata management, data catalogs, data standards, and best practices for Master Data Management

• Develops Data Governance, standards, roadmap, and architecture decisions

• Develops standards, guidelines, processes and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues such as data convergence, data standards and data integration/synchronization

• Defines data strategy, policies, controls and programs to ensure that the enterprise data is accurate, secure and reliable

• Identifies areas for data quality improvement

• Engages with relevant internal parties and external vendors in best practice sharing and effective Master Data Management solution delivery

• Provides data consultation on complex projects and acts as a top level specialist

• Ensures compliance with data architecture principles and standards for the various systems and components based on design patterns

• Leads selection of preferred data management technologies

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of Distributed Architectures is required. Best practices at development cycles of an Agile methodology

• Hands on experience configuring and tuning Apache Hadoop CDH (Cloudera Distribution Hadoop) or Hortonworks distribution

• Good practices, proactivity and client-facing skills

• Architectural understanding of the Big Data ecosystem
