Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for Subject Matter Expert – Level III / Senior Network Architect for our NIH-CIT Proposal. This position will be located in Rockville, MD and will be a hybrid role.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlog.
- Lead the transition of user‑accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise in appropriate architecture areas.
- Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectives.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain software and hardware.
- Collaborate with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirements.
- Maintain technical architecture documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Manage change.
- Support resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strategically plan transformative networking services.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 8‑plus years in Network Services, or equivalent.
- At least one Cisco CCIE certification (Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, or Wireless), both written and practical.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
