Senior Network Architect – LAN​/WAN, DW​/DM

Requirements Must have:

• Bachelors degree with 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• CCIE certification, with both written and practical exams completed
• Specializations in Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center, and Wireless
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

• Collaborate with the Section Manager to assess, design, and validate architectural designs and services – Guide the transition of user-approved designs and services to Operations and Security Teams – Provide expertise in Service Provider backbone structures – Offer specialized knowledge in Enterprise‑level LAN/WAN configurations – Deliver insights on Enterprise‑level DWDM implementations – Strategically develop, design, and enhance the capabilities and performance of NIH Network and TIC Services – Manage software and hardware installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance – Team up with the Security Section to meet security architecture demands – Keep technical architecture documentation up‑to‑date – Engage in troubleshooting and problem‑solving initiatives – Oversee change management processes – Support resources in charge of security implementation, monitoring, and vulnerability resolution – Plan strategically for network architecture service transformations
