Bethesda, MD (hybrid: 2 days onsite/week).

• Lead advisor and accounting expert for a portfolio of Gov Con clients
• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, GL, month-end close
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, variance analyses
• Develop budgets, forecasts, indirect rate models, cash flow projections
• Guide and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables
• Support year-end reporting, 1099s, audits, DCAA compliance
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Communicate directly with client executives, providing strategic insights and updates

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA or MBA
• 8–10+ years of accounting experience in government contracting
• Management experience leading and developing team members
• Unanet or Deltek software experience
• Strong grasp of GAAP, FAR, and cost accounting standards
• Proven leadership in client relationships and project management
• Experience in boutique firms or consulting environments a plus
