Position Summary

The Head of Account Leadership is a visionary and hands‑on leader who drives client success, organic growth, and agency momentum. Equal parts strategist and operator, this person inspires teams, deepens client relationships, and ensures RP3 consistently delivers business‑driving, creatively excellent work.

At RP3, Account Leadership owns both the client relationship and project delivery. This role ensures that every engagement ‑ from campaign development to multi‑channel brand platforms ‑ is led strategically and managed efficiently, balancing long‑term vision with smart, disciplined oversight.

The Head of Account Leadership leads a team of account supervisors who oversee project delivery and collaborate closely with RP3’s centralized operations and resource planning team. This leader partners with the Creative, Strategy, and Media teams to sell and deliver high‑caliber work that makes an impact on our clients’ businesses, while also driving revenue growth across existing accounts and contributing to new business efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Client & Business Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior clients, influencing marketing, brand, and business decisions.
  • Understand clients’ business models, category dynamics, and customer behavior to proactively identify opportunities that grow their business ‑ and RP3’s.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Strategy, and Media leadership to shape, sell, and deliver work that elevates brands and drives measurable business results.
  • Inspire cross‑functional teams to bring Wildly Original ideas to life ‑ ensuring they are strategically grounded, beautifully crafted, and executed with excellence by the team.
  • Champion creative and strategic innovation that drives real impact, guiding teams to push for bold thinking while maintaining alignment on timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration to scope and plan complex marketing programs, ensuring alignment between strategy, creative, and delivery teams.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively problem‑solve to ensure work moves forward smoothly and efficiently.
Team Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, inspire, and develop RP3’s team of Account Supervisors ‑ cultivating curiosity, courage, and collaboration while mentoring them to effectively manage client relationships and oversee project delivery.
  • Collaborate with operations and resource planning to ensure the right talent and timelines are in place to deliver exceptional work.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and fun ‑ balancing high performance with humanity.
  • Model RP3’s “think and do” ethos, empowering teams to lead both strategically and operationally.
  • Build team capability through coaching, structured training, and mentorship that promotes growth and long‑term excellence in account leadership.
Financial & Operational Management
  • Lead financial stewardship across all accounts, including scoping, pricing, profitability, and forecasting.
  • Oversee project management standards and delivery excellence through the account leadership team.
  • Partner with the executive leadership team to shape operational and growth strategies that strengthen RP3’s financial performance and client success.
  • Ensure disciplined pipeline management and forecasting that support the agency’s growth goals.
Agency Growth
  • Own organic growth ‑ identifying, pursuing, and realizing opportunities to expand revenue within existing client relationships.
  • Partner with Business Development to support new business efforts through thought leadership, strategic input, and pitch participation.
  • Collaborate with department leads to develop new offerings and capabilities that anticipate client needs and drive agency innovation.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in account management or client leadership within a creative, advertising, or marketing agency.
  • Proven success in leading major client relationships and growing business through strategy, creativity, and partnership.
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing ‑ from brand to digital to data‑driven campaigns.
