Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a 2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician to join our team that runs SMT equipment that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

Primary Responsibilities- Working knowledge of SMT machines such as:
Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering - Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line
- Experience working under a microscope
- Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts
- Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.
- Works independently under limited supervision
- Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams
- HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
- Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience
- Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
- Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance
- This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience.
- Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610.
- Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.
- Experience on SMT equipment and hand soldering
