Position: Sr Software Engineer/Team Lead with Security Clearance
MINIMUM MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Eight years' experience in development of complex software systems in Linux environments.
- Eight years' experience in management of a software development team including software design and architecture, requirements analysis, and resource management.
- Five years of experience with Agile methods of software development. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(any of the following is a significant plus)
- Five years of experience with tactical software systems supporting surface ship Anti-Submarine Warfare or other Navy /DoD systems operations.
- Five years of technical experience with surface ships AN/SQQ-89 A(V)15 sonar systems.
- Five years of technical experience with integrated common processor sonar for IUSS. DESCRIPTION DAS is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead to become the Surface and Surveillance Engineering Lead for our team conducting innovative software development on Navy Combat Training System for our customer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD. Projects will entail execution of scientific, engineering and technical services required for the design, development, integration, test, fleet implementation and maintenance of training simulation systems.

This position is a hands-on software engineering/development position leading a team of software engineers supporting full-stack development on leading edge Navy Combat System Training Systems through all phases of the software development life-cycle conducted via an Agile Kanban software development process. Our technology stack includes Angular, C, boost C++, Java, and Python, and other tools including Git Lab, Jira, Gradle and Docker.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze technology/capability gaps; research, develop, and deploy software solutions within our Agile Kanban software development process
- Define sprints and associated deliverables
- Lead development team in design and optimization of code
- Lead integration, test, bug fixes, and other software maintenance activities
- Lead the creation of technical documentation and user guides in support of developed software SALARY NOTES
