Job Description

A Java developer on this program provides Agile development and operations and maintenance for mission critical systems. Based in Dev Ops framework, this role participates in and/or directs major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.

Primary Responsibilities

Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon

Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies leveraging an Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities

Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services creating innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.

Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs

Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices while coordinating closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases

Document and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging Git Flow constructs and using industry leading Dev Ops tools like Git Hub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting

Basic Qualifications

In-depth experience with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices

Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit and scripting languages, such as Python, and Bash while working in an Agile development environment

In-depth experience developing in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)

In-depth experience using version control and issue/problem tracking systems

Bachelor’s degree with 12 or more years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 10 or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

To be considered must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Python, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular, Hive, Pig, or C++

Experience in AWS Data management services (Elastic Map Reduce, Lambda, Kinesis)

Experience with SAFe development practices
