Job DescriptionPLEASE NOTE:
- It is Hybrid Position at Bethesda, Maryland
- Should be able to visit and meet the client in Bethesda, MD.
- We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications.
- This role will lead technical implementation, mentor developers, and work with product, QA, and Dev Ops teams to deliver reliable, secure software.
- Design and develop Java applications, REST APIs, and backend services using Spring Boot.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Develop database integrations and optimize SQL queries and application performance.
- Review code, establish development standards, and mentor junior developers.
- Write unit and integration tests and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with QA and Dev Ops teams on testing, releases, and operational readiness.
- Address application security, scalability, and reliability requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience developing REST APIs and working with relational databases.
- Proficiency with Git, Maven or Gradle, and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit.
- Experience with Agile development and CI/CD processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with microservices, messaging systems, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or another cloud platform.
- Familiarity with observability tools and distributed application troubleshooting.
5+ years of professional Java development experience.
Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
