This role designs, develops, and maintains software applications using a tailored SAFe Agile Dev Sec Ops  process.

This role uses best practices and patterns to perform design, development, automated testing, and automated deployment of software modules via Dev Sec Ops  Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

We have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Software Engineer (SME) to provide Agile Dev Ops support to mission critical systems. As a Software Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems, software, and cloud environments and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation and testing of customer tools and applications.

Based in a Dev Ops framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.

• Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using Java, Python, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
• Developing APIs and microservices
• To manage and control data and access to data in an enterprise data lake.
• To enable data enable search, correlation, analysis and reporting based on data in an enterprise data lake.
• Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
• Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated CI/CD deployment technologies
• Use industry leading Dev Ops tools like Git Hub, Jenkins, Ansible, and Unix bash scripting
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
• Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices
• Document and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging Git Flow constructs
• Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.
• Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
• Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures
• Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.

• Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices
• Expert use and experience with Java, Spring and C2S.
• Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within Dev Ops toolsets/practices
• Expert utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit/Katalon
• Expert with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash
• Expert experience integrating software services with databases, such as DynamoDB, Postgres and MySQL.
• Expert working in an Agile development environment and tempo
• Expert with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Expert with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Well versed with using version control systems
• Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems

** Candidate must have a Master's degree with 15 or more years of relevant experience.
