Critical Care Anesthesiologist

Anesthesia Specialists of Bethlehem (ASB) is seeking full-time, partnership track critical care anesthesiologists and neuro-critical care anesthesiologists to join their premier, physician-led private practice. This unique opportunity allows physicians to practice anesthesiology and critical care medicine within a stable and growing independent group providing care across tertiary and community-level ICUs. New graduates and experienced physicians alike will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within a rapidly growing affiliated hospital network anchored by a Level One Trauma Center.

Practice Info

• Premier, physician-led private anesthesia practice with more than 30 years of stability and excellence
• Stable and growing team of 18 critical care anesthesiologists
• Care provided at a combination of tertiary and community-level ICUs
• Critical care patient populations include cardiac surgery and cardiology, neuro, and general medical and surgical critical care patients
• ICU service consists of a multidisciplinary rounding team, including residents, medical students, advanced practice students, advanced practitioners, critical care pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and critical care nurses
• Primary inpatient facility, St. Luke's University Hospital at Bethlehem, is a Level One Trauma Center
• St. Luke's Anderson campus is a Level Two Trauma Center housing a Mother and Baby Pavilion with over 3,500 deliveries yearly
• Growing pediatric program with a recently opened pediatric emergency department and hospital units, supported by a separate pediatric call team

Responsibilities

• Provide care at a combination of tertiary and community-level ICUs
• Provide anesthesia for various surgical services including orthopedics, cardiac, thoracic, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, ENT, vascular, and general surgery
• Run pre-op programs, acute pain service, and the surgical optimization clinic

Compensation

• Total compensation is approximately $650K
• $100k sign-on bonus
