Job Details
What You'll Do:
As a key member of our clinical team, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care and keeping our practice running smoothly. Your day-to-day work will directly impact our patients' health and experience.
* Prepare exam rooms: sanitize, stock supplies, and ensure medications/vaccines are ready for the day
* Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care (mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, etc.)
* Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow to maximize efficiency
* Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, medications, and current concerns
* Assist with procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testing
* Collect and process lab specimens; track and document results
* Perform quality control on equipment and testing materials
* Help at the front desk when needed - greeting patients, answering phones, verifying insurance
* Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure the best patient outcomes
What You Bring:
* High School diploma and/or GED required.
* Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program is required
* Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
* BCLS certification (in-person training only, American Heart Association)
* Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic technique
* A team-first attitude and commitment to providing respectful, quality care
Salary Range
USD $23.71 - USD $30.21 /Hr.
