This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants looking to step up, or anyone with a passion for education who wants to make a real difference.

About

the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre‑set lesson plans across a range of subjects
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils in the classroom
  • Ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with their work
  • Responding to questions and supporting pupils where appropriate
  • Supervising students during non‑teaching times such as lunch or break
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on behaviour or progress
  • Not expected to plan lessons or mark work: your role is to lead the classroom, keep learning on track and ensure a positive, structured environment
What We re Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to lead a classroom and engage young people
  • Positive behaviour management strategies
  • A proactive, adaptable and professional approach
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
  • Ideally previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
