A well established land based college in East Yorkshire is recognised for delivering high quality agricultural education with strong links to industry. The campus provides a practical learning environment designed to prepare learners for real world careers in agriculture.
They are now seeking an Agricultural Lecturer on a temporary basis to support their FE provision. The department is open to candidates from an arable, livestock or agricultural engineering background and can offer flexibility around working days and rate.
This opportunity would suit an industry professional looking to reduce physical work, move into education, or take on a rewarding part time role alongside other commitments. Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential, with training and support available.
- Deliver engaging practical and classroom based agriculture sessions to FE learners
- Teach content aligned to your industry specialism such as arable, livestock or agri engineering
- Assess learner progress and support achievement
- Maintain a safe, positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider land based team
- Background in agriculture, arable, livestock or agricultural engineering
- Strong practical industry experience
Interest in supporting and developing young people - Willingness to move into lecturing, with support if required
- Available for around 3 days per week on a temporary basis
