The council is seeking to appoint a permanent Deputyship Officer in the Credit Control Team within Legal and Democratic Services. As a Deputyship Officer within the team you will be responsible for making applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship Orders in respect of clients who lack the capacity to manage their own affairs and to manage the property and financial affairs of those clients in respect of whom a Deputyship Order has been made.
As a candidate for this role you will be organised and a team player with a can do attitude and knowledge and experience in one or more of the areas of Welfare benefits, Mental Capacity, Civil Court Procedure and Court of Protection practise and procedure. Ideally you will also have knowledge and experience of local authority practise and procedure and adult social care charging.
TravelSome travel across East Riding of Yorkshire may be required, applicants must be able to transport themselves.
