Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join a real estate and property organization in Beverly Hills, California on a Contract basis. This on-site role supports a close-knit accounting team and is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, manage a steady volume of payable activity, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment. The position centers on full-cycle accounts payable work while also contributing to broader accounting support as priorities shift.

Responsibilities:
• Handle a high volume of vendor invoices each week, ensuring timely review, coding, and entry with strong attention to accuracy.
• Coordinate weekly payment activity by preparing and processing checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers in accordance with established deadlines.
• Record accounts payable transactions in Yardi and maintain organized documentation to support complete and accurate financial records.
• Review and route invoices across multiple expense areas, including property-related costs, utilities, mortgage obligations, and corporate expenditures.
• Monitor banking activity to compare posted payments against account transactions and help resolve outstanding payable items.
• Issue payment confirmations and related communications after transactions have been entered and released.
• Contribute to month-end accounting tasks such as reconciliations, billback support, utility-related entries, and mortgage payment posting.
• Provide assistance with document management, data entry, and accounting support tied to departmental projects, including system-related conversion work when needed.
