Alterations Specialist - Rodeo Drive

The Alterations Specialist produces high-quality alterations while delivering exceptional client service in a luxury boutique. This role fits garments, advises clients, and completes work accurately and efficiently using specialized techniques for luxury fabrics and construction.

• Fit garments on clients and determine the alterations required.
• Alter, repair, and construct garments, including hemming, mending, adjusting seams, and completing specialty tailoring.
• Communicate with clients about their needs and preferences, and provide fitting and styling advice.
• Label and organize client garments, record alteration requirements, and maintain equipment in proper working order.
• Collaborate with boutique colleagues to uphold production standards and deliver an excellent client experience.

• At least 5 years of related alterations experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, sewing techniques, and specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, and fine tailoring.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and client service orientation.
• Ability to work under time constraints and a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to lift 15 pounds.
