The Financial Services Officer is responsible for opening new accounts and performing maintenance with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism, meeting the bank’s high‑quality service delivery standards. Senior officers handle a full range of retail and commercial transactions, maintain thorough knowledge of bank services, and introduce products that serve customer needs. All duties are performed in accordance with company policies, U.S. state and federal laws, and regulations wherever the company operates.

- Handle account opening, superseding, maintenance, research projects, and ordering of checks and notary services.
- Cross‑sell Banc of California products and services based on customer needs.
- Assist with daily and monthly audits and certifications, preparing documentation for new accounts under the bank’s CIP/BSA policies.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal documentation required for various entity types.
- Process complex client requests independently with minimal supervision.
- Input new accounts on ITI and submit complete packages.
- Support operational duties, including teller functions and assistance to the Branch Operations Manager and Branch Manager.
- Help with end‑of‑day closing, cash balancing (vault & ATM), and scanning of daily teller work.
- Maintain knowledge of treasury management products and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
- Contribute to the branch’s overall goals and promote a respectful, ethical workplace.
- Adhere to EEO policies, respect cultural differences, and promote a harassment‑free environment.
- Follow safety protocols and report potential hazards in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Preferred 1 year of experience in new accounts; 2 years in branch banking operations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Solid understanding of Treasury Management, including wire procedures, and key branch systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Operational responsibility, with language fluency in Spanish beneficial but not required.
- Strong client‑service skills: ask questions, listen to cues, and match products to client needs.
- Ability to mentor and build internal and external relationships.
- Polished communication style; articulate confidently and influence in client interactions.
- Initiative to learn, stay current on new products, and act with minimal direction.
- Problem‑solving ability across multiple concurrent tasks, with sound risk‑assessment judgment.

Base salary is determined by education, experience, and market data, among other factors.
