TITLE:
Administrative – Authorization Representative

This role will focus on processing authorizations between the Vascular and Urology clinics located within the same building. The Authorization Rep serves as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance entities.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with medical insurance, referrals, and benefit plans
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office
• Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed instructions

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, both in person and by phone
• Greet patients, resolve concerns, and elevate issues as needed
• Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic
• Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
• Process, track, and follow up on referrals and insurance authorizations
• Handle patient and provider correspondence
• Explain clinic policies, procedures, and services to patients
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace per department guidelines
